In this mountainous land, the sun shines for more than 320 days per year, and an exit into the Mediterranean Sea that has an unbroken coastline of 450 km (including lagoons) washes the western shores of Albania, extending along the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. The Albanian Riviera is a paradise in the land with crystal waters where the colors change from blue to turquoise and still virgin beaches of sand and stones. Albania has about 3 million inhabitants within its territory, but millions more have been found all over the world for centuries. Albanians are connected by their unique language, "gjuha shqipe", spoken only by them, a unique and original branch of the Indo-European family. The Albanian language is an ancestor of the Illyrian language and is recognized for its two distinct dialects, which are "Geg" and "Tosk". Albanian vocabulary counts 36 letters.

Albania has an area of 28,748 km2 and is located in southeastern Europe. Albania shares borders with four countries: Montenegro in the northwest, Kosovo in the northeast, North Macedonia in the east, and Greece in the south. Over the centuries, Albania was conquered by several different empires and became part of world wars too, often found between east and west. Albanians never lost their identity, language, and traditions. Different religions passed through Albania, and today, even though Albania is a secular country with five official religions, "the religion of the Albanian remains Albanian," as the beloved poet of 19th century Pashko Vasa would say.

Albanians are indigenous to their lands and have fought with blood to preserve them. This is also expressed in the flag with a red background and a black double-headed eagle, since the time of our national hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu.

Albania is the hidden destination of Europe, which until the 1990s was little or nothing known due to the long and dark isolation of the communist dictatorship.
