Join us on an incredible full-day tour from Saranda, exploring the heart of southern Albania, where nature, wellness, and history blend together in an unforgettable journey.
The tour begins with a scenic drive through the Vjosa Valley, passing through the spectacular Këlcyrë Gorge, surrounded by magnificent mountain landscapes, including the imposing Mount Nemërçka, one of Albania’s highest peaks.
First Stop: Benja Terme & Kadiu Bridge
Arrival in Benja, where you’ll discover a natural paradise with thermal pools, renowned for their therapeutic properties. Situated in a tranquil and scenic setting, these warm waters, of varying temperatures, offer the perfect relaxation. You can also stroll across the Kadiu Bridge, a well-preserved ancient Ottoman stone bridge that marks the entrance to the Langarica Canyon, one of the most fascinating natural landmarks in the area.
Second Stop: Permet – The City of Roses
Continuing, we’ll arrive in Permet, known as “The City of Roses.” Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a craft workshop where you can watch gliko, a traditional Albanian dessert made with fruit, including the famous walnut gliko, being made. You’ll also be able to taste this delicious dessert, along with artisanal fruit liqueurs and traditional raki. This unique tasting experience will make your trip even more special. You’ll also have time to stroll around the town or have lunch at a typical local restaurant.
Third Stop: Ali Pasha Castle in Tepelena
In the afternoon, we’ll reach Tepelena to visit the imposing Ali Pasha Castle, built in the early 19th century. This castle, which even hosted Lord Byron during his travels, is a symbol of the region’s rich history. You’ll explore the ruins of the fortress and enjoy panoramic views of the Vjosa River Valley before returning to Saranda.
The day concludes with the return to Saranda, enriched by natural wonders, cultural experiences, and the typical hospitality of southern Albania.
